+spong-cleanup is a recent program added into the Spong distribution. And as
+yet it have not been fully integrated. You will have to customize 3 settings
+to your liking near the top of the program.
+
+$SPONG_ARCHIVE - The directory to archive the old history log files from
+                 the spong database ($SPONGDB).
+$OLD_SERVICE   - Any service status files that have not been updated in this
+                 parameter number of days will be considered stale and removed.
+$OLD_HISTORY   - This is the number of days to retain in each host's history
+                 file. Any entries old than this parameter will be archived
+                 into the $SPONG_ARCHIVE database.
